People tend to enjoy Understanding Laser Technology, and feel they learn a lot from the course.  One measure of the course's success is the many locations where it's been presented repeatedly.  Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, for example, has hosted the course nearly a dozen times.  Spectra-Physics has seen almost as many iterations.  Companies like JDS Uniphase, Coherent, Kodak, 3M, Polaroid, and GTE have brought Understanding Laser Technology back for second, third, and fourth times.
